The Ledge
Our stone comes from this Niagara Dolomite vein, which is commonly called the Niagara Escarpment or, locally speaking, “The Ledge.”
The stone has a powerful connection to the best of nature. The Niagara Escarpment stretches from Wisconsin to New York. In Wisconsin it runs for a total of 230 miles, and then it continues northeast as an underwater and subsurface feature, bending through the Great Lakes and resurfacing 500 miles later. There, the escarpment forms the cliff over which the Niagara River pours as Niagara Falls. So the Rademann stone used on your project comes from the same source that is part of this natural wonder.
Our Quarries
Rademann Stone quarries produce stone from multiple locations on the eastern edge of the escarpment, in Fond du Lac, Ripon, and throughout Wisconsin. These locations allow us to provide stone in a range of size, color, and texture.
