The Niagara Escarpment

Our Stone Source: Nature's Marvel

Born from the rugged depths of the earth and sculpted by the relentless forces of nature over millennia, our stone stands as a testament to the enduring majesty of the Niagara Escarpment. For centuries, pounding wind, rain, ice, and snow have relentlessly eroded the softer rock, leaving behind the resilient limestone bedrock. Forged by the ancient glaciers, this stone emerged with a boldness that is raw and refined. Each stone reveals rich textures and bold colors, demanding a craftsman’s touch to sculpt it into the rugged, durable product you envision in your project.

The Ledge

Our stone comes from this Niagara Dolomite vein, which is commonly called the Niagara Escarpment or, locally speaking, “The Ledge.”

Our Quarries

Rademann Stone quarries produce stone from multiple locations on the eastern edge of the escarpment, in Fond du Lac, Ripon, and throughout Wisconsin. These locations allow us to provide stone in a range of size, color, and texture.
