Our Company

Building Expertise for Generations

Our Legacy

For nearly a century, the Rademann family has been perfecting the craft of working with stone. Rademann got its start in the early 1930s, when Dick Rademann rented Wisconsin farm fields in order to hand chisel stone from the ground. He had a keen eye for business potential. Working out of his truck, he found a market in the growing metropolis of Chicago, which was establishing itself as a hub of activity at the time—this is during a great boom of construction that included many of the famous theaters, museums, and World Fair relics that remain in the city today. He passed this passion for stone down to his sons, who got serious about formalizing the business model with a focus on crafting stone for the purpose of landscaping, expanding the market to reach the potential to growing suburbs across Illinois, Wisconsin, and beyond. Through the generations, expertise grew, and in the 1980s Rademann Stone began quarrying and manufacturing natural stone products throughout the midwest. In recent years, the quality and craftsmanship behind the stone we quarry has allowed us to expand and find success nationwide.

We are now in the 4th generation of the Rademann legacy. This company is our name and our heritage, which is why we care so deeply about the success of every project.

Our Location

Rademann craftsmen have been honing their skills creating natural stone products since the 1930s—but our story doesn’t start there. It starts tens of thousands of years ago, as nature sculpted the resilient limestone bedrock of the Niagara escarpment that we quarry today. Learn more about this majestic resource.

Rademann quarries and crafts stone from multiple locations on the Wisconsin edge of the Niagara Escarpment, in Fond du Lac, Ripon, and other locations throughout Wisconsin. As a family-owned business, we’ve worked for years to understand and embrace this incredible natural resource. We’ve passed down our knowledge of the stone through generations, creating a bold and enduring collection of natural stone products that will bring your vision to life.

The Journey from Quarry to Home.

Our skilled craftsmen have unparalleled expertise, which shows up in every step of bringing our stone to your project. Because we value the source, we make use of it to its fullest. For sustainability, the top layers are blasted and crushed into aggregate stone, used for roads and highways, leaving behind dense, sustainable quarriable ledges.
